I have always shared Dean's opinion that Murphy is just a guy and not worthy of a 2nd round pick. And I agree that he is vulnerable this year. With that said I never understood how lineman can be evaluated when they are going half speed in shorts with no contact.

True but you do agree its very possible he could be cut this year. The way these guys were arguing about the guy its just funny that he might be cut this year. Thank God for the Moses and Breeland picks to safe that draft. The jury is still out on Long. IF Long cant beat out a hurt Lavou and a green Kojo, I think you have to question that pick also.

Ok. Let me ask you this, is Murphy the 4th De or 5th de? RJF is an SM guy. He would really have to tank to get cut from this team. Murphy does have a shot to jump Hood. Remember Hood signed a big deal with JAx then got hurt. So we know he has talent. It will be interesting.

Its a tough task for him b/c RJF and Hood are pretty experienced decent players. He would have to beat one of these guys out to make the team.

He has 26 starts in 32 games . He is right there with his other 2nd round peers . He started and he held his own . The thing is we took a shot at Murphy and we still got Moses no harm no foul

I also find that a lot of posters on here refuse to make a prediction and just state the obvious when it comes to issues on our team. Isn't the point of a message board is to share everyone's opinion and talk about it whether you disagree or not?

why is it incumbent on anyone to make a prediction on anything . dean since this guy was drafted you have been on his case . he probably was playing a position at OLB that didnt suit his skill set , yet he did it anyway . the skins FO at the time thought he could be a good player and they drafted him and still got moses as well

What? We drafted him as a 3-4 OLB. I don't know why you keep bringing up Moses. I said we were lucky we got Moses in the 3rd then I get hammered for that statement. One of the purposes of this board is to express opinions and make predictions backed up by reasoning. I was not on Murphy case since we drafted him. Yes we did reach for him, I don't think anybody can dispute that. But jus b/c the guy has started for us as you stated doesn't mean that he was productive.

So if he cant start with nothing on our roster to challenge him then there is a big problem being a 2nd round pick. I am talking about hill and hyde right now. Of course if Murphy gets hurt it changes things. Im saying if everyone stays healthy does he make this team?

So the contract that Ziggy hood got from the Jags doesn't mean anything? Doesn't mean Hood has talent? that was only two years ago he got a decent contract. I think it was 4yrs for 16m. So why would a guy who did nothing like you said get that contract offer from the Jags?
