Am I the only one who refuses to pay TicketMaster? I only buy my first tickets of the season at the box office and then at the first game, I have about 10 games circled and buy them all at once in advance and get top-notch seats that way for the section I want to sit in.

I don't do ticketmaster ever, for anything unless I absolutely have to. Typically I will do stubhub and end up getting below face value.

Stubhub. You can get some good deals on the right games.

I usually just go to the team's website...is that ticketmaster? I know I'm probably getting hosed, but I am a bit lazy.

I only do eBay for Lakers games (always sold out). I'll have to look into StubHub.

I went to the Cotton Bowl in 2004 or so when Nebraska played Auburn.

2 tickets, parking, and program all for $25. i was shocked it was legit.

and the 2005 alamo bowl when nebraska played Meatchicken..those tickets were only like 40 bucks each.

Ticketmaster is brutal, tack on an extra 20 bucks easy to whatever purchase you make for "convenience charges" or whatever else they feel like taking from you. Luckily I worked at a Country Club all through high school and college, and seeing as how I was one of the few Mets fans I'm always the first guy my old boss calls when members leave their tickets. I haven't paid for a baseball ticket in years. Parking and tolls are a whole other beast.

If you're willing to risk it, wait until gameday and the prices on StubHub generally drop pretty drastically.

Hit up a scalper after the game starts. I usually do this for football and baseball games. Paid $80 for $180 in bengals tickets last year and only missed half the first quarter. Got 2 club seat tickets for $10 a pop at a reds game. I think face value was around $50

Concerts as well, if you're willing to miss the first song.

Yeah, StubHub is usually a good deal. Especially if you can wait until closer to game day.
