Honestly we have nothing left to lose, except which bowl we'd get invited to.

I think the team will bounce back, just as they always do under this regime.

Bo stay's another year, hires more assistants. Actually gets a quarterback coach, cause we all know that position sure as shit hasn't made strides over the last 5 years.

I can see this happening as well.piss one down our leg, stiffen up and win out in conference, prepare for three weeks how to beat bowll opponent and go into the offseason feeling good but worrying for the other shoe to drop early next season.

The only way to finish ranked is to win the last two regular season games imo.

That would put them at (6-2)(9-3)

That's likely the Outback against the SEC.
Depending who that is, they could probably lose that (closely) and still be end up ranked in the final poll. 4 loss AQ's are generally ranked #20-25. If they get blown out there's no way.

Win out and they'd be (6-2)(10-3) and they'll be ranked for sure in the final polls.

Would that be a goal?

And yet I do believe the rumor mill (if it picks up steam in the next day or two or three) could have an adverse impact on the team--seniors and underclassmen alike. I am sure even now the major newspapers in this state already have journalists living at the Lincoln & Omaha airports as I write this. Not to mention ESPN and all the other internet sports outlets with their "expert rumor mills".

It will be real interesting to see how Bo plays this out as well.
