He is the safest player in this draft. Is route running is the best in this class. Put up huge numbers against SEC level competition. We should have the choice of Williams and Cooper. Those two guys should be our pick at #5. Im hoping MM goes #2 b/c that means we will should get one of them.

If your the Jags how the hell can you pass on Cooper? Bradley is a defensive coach so he is going to want Fowler but if your the GM wouldn't you override that? IMO huge mistakes by passing on Williams and Cooper if you are the Titans and Jags. This should benefit us.

I'd rather have White when is the last time the Redskins had a tall, physical, fast receiver with goods hands

I'll say this: if it comes to one of the WRs and Scherff, I'm taking Scherff. He's much safer and wiser of a pick than those WRs. At bottom, we don't need WRs. We're in dire need of o-line help. Thus, if it came down to either, I'd pick the big guy from Iowa.

It's a passing league and probably always will be. While I agree Scherff may be a safer pick a dynamic playmaker can change a game with one play. With that said I'm much more on Cooper than White, not sure how a WR with only one great year can be classified as a safe pick. If Scherff is the safer pick Cooper is right behind him IMO. We are set at WR? For the next 16 games anyway and assuming we don't have an injury to Pierre or DJax because behind them there is a huge drop off. And again those thinking long term, which is what the team should be doing, understands that with those contracts one of the starting WRs may be cut in a year and then we have exactly one good WR.

If we stay at 5, a WR is a real possibility if Scot is true to his BPA stance. While Cooper is probably the safer bet, White probably has more upside. The guy is an athletic freak. Not sure why he only had one outstanding year, but you need to look at all the factors, including the scheme and the QB.

JC transfer to WVU only had 2 years to play. First year he was learning the offense and had a rotating door at QB (one that hid injuries really well and had a shoulder injury for much of the year in Trickett) and a struggling OLine throwing him the ball.
Would have loved to have had a great supporting cast around him but I cant say that. Some good players around him (including Mario Alford who will also prob be drafted) but our roster had a lot of holes in it his first year too.

There is always a certain amount of risk with these kids coming out of college but the guy has about everything you could want including the right attitude on and off the field. The WR class is solid this year imo and I was a big fan of Coopers game as well so... not just me being a WVU fan with White, I think he will be a really good NFL player barring any injuries.
