How big will Meriweather's fine be?

I'm just wondering because that was the most chickenshit play I've seen since Mike Hardin played for the Broncos. At least the bastard got what he deserved when he tried it a second time.

You should not be making value judgments when you appear to be happy with a guy getting a concussion which could lead to all kinds of problems down the road. Anyone who shows joy in a head injury is one sick pup.

Not sure if the problem is intent - it appears to be more the style of play where Meriweather appears to be not too bright. Having said that I have no problem with whatever fine or suspension he receives - it might be for his own good. One or two more of those head lowering shots is going to lead to nothing but bad things.

Yeah?!?

Well tell that sick pup 31 I hope his playing days are over!
It was disgusting to see him celebrate his cheap shot on Lacy.

If he has problems down the road, it'll be his own fault.

It's funny, just a few years ago Merriwether would have been applauded for this hit. Guys like John Lynch, Steve Atwater, Ronnie Lott and our own Sean Taylor would have said..."nice hit bro"

I guess.

I just didn't like how enthused he was after allowing a first down, then I realized he was celebrating taking our starting RB out of the game.

I guess it didn't matter - in the end our number 2 was pretty good.

As a general rule I hate the kinder, gentler NFL.

Though I agree with the second part of your quote, "hew got what he deserved," I find it pretty fucking funny that a Shehawk troll, whose team cut block a 49er DT on a questionably "legal" call and broke his ankle, has the stones to call out a redskins safety.

Frankly, the Shehawks are quickly becoming the least likable team in the NFL this side of Philly.

You won't find any love for Merriweather here. The guy's been injured for all of one game, combined, in the past two years.

Fuck him.

Nah. That distinction will always belong to the Cowboys & it isn't even close!

I pretty much stated the same thing you said in your last sentence. However - I don't wish major injury on any player regardless of team affiliation. Sorry - about the injury. As someone else alluded to - this is a byproduct of how these guys were taught early on in football. Meriweather is just not bright enough to realize that he has to make adjustments.

Again - no problem with suspensions, etc & he quite possibly may never play again for the Skins or anyone. However - I don't wish for him to have problems later in life related to this such as medical issues, substance abuse problems, mental illness, etc. If you wish for these - well - than you have a real problem. You should take off your Packer hat every now & then & try to be a human being.

Funny coming from a fan of a team that chopped blocked the Niner DT and broke his ankle, worry about your own clowns like Sherman etc..
I expect more fines and head shots because alot of these guys have tackled that way their wholes lives and now they have to change the way they hit a guy at such a fast pace, they might as well bring back leather helmets at this rate, no real fan wants to see anyone get hurt, but every tackle is a car crash in this league so calm down bucko!
