I automatically ask myself that when watching them play, no matter whom they are playing. Seems like they are always finding a way of shooting theirselves in the foot. It was their defense that buckled against the Lions.

They're playing Minnesota. I'm picking them to take this one.

It may just be my lack of knowledge with the cowpies, but haven't they invested a lot into their secondary? High draft picks, trades, etc? With that said, how is their Pass D one of the worst in the league???

They brought in Will Allen from Pittsburgh and I thought they got a steal for him, but then they cut him a few weeks ago. Luckily Pitt picked him back up because he was a good player.

They needed Leon Sandcastle yesterday. He wouldn't have allowed those long throws with under a minute and he would have been covering CJ all day long.

They got guys who were good for man coverage for Rob Ryan, fired him, and then hired and old man that has them playing a ton of zone. They also switched to a 4-3 and lost 3 of their top 5 D-Libeman before the season began, then they lost Ware. It's a wreck.

You have to admit that their backups on D-line are doing a great job... But that sounds rough. Gotta love it when there is a disconnect between coaches and the personnel people. It's going on in Pitt as well, but with their offense mainly.

For guys off the street, they've certainly exceeded expectations. Two or three of them would have made really solid backups in a nice rotation had injuries not taken their toll before the season even began.
