My list is kinda like Mattola... a little bit of everything. Change seats, change clothes, changes hats, leave the room, stand up, etc. etc. I can't say there is any one thing I do every game - just a lot of weird little things that change. I know during the Caps long winning streak a few years back I would always watch in my same chair.

On a funny note, my dad bought a Capitals flag to fly out front of his house just before the Montreal collapse back in the 2010 playoffs. Its been nothing but bad luck. I'll talk to him sometimes after big games and find out if he flew it. It seems like on nights he flies it, we lose. When he doesn't put it up, we win. In fact, watched the Skins game with him today and found out he hasn't flown it since the first 2-3 games this year. So basically, the Caps went to OT frequently with it up and have been blowing teams out since he took it down. Before I left, I offered to buy him a new flag if he'd let me burn it (I've asked him to destroy it and have told him it's cursed repeatedly). He declined. I might have to pull a switcheroo. :)

That's honest fan insanity right there. haha.

I have none really for watching sports (other than drinking beer:heh:).

Playing sports I have a bunch. Too many to list and so many that I probably don't even remember any more because they've just become routine.

During football season, whatever I have for breakfast on Sunday of week 1, I have every Sunday, including bye week, until the Pats are done for the season. If any team (Bruins, Pats, Sawx) are on a winning streak, I don't wash the game jersey until they lose. Yeah, 2007 was a doozie, but it didn't stink (honest), it just had a couple ice cream stains on it.

What if , next year, game one, you eat bad eggs that give you explosive doody the rest of the day, but the Pats win by 40?
Do you just instruct the wife to buy more old eggs and a 20 pack of underwear?

If they win don't wash whichever jersey I was wearing. If they lose must wash the jersey (the loss) before I go to sleep. Duck loving wife does the same thing.

For a shootout loss it it just a quick rinse?
What about when we had ties?

I've never even considered having a superstition. Not even when I'm playing!

For me it's not about what I do but what I don't do. I'm 0% supersticious but I know other fans are. So I try to avoid putting myself in a situation where I can be blamed for jinxing the team. I have a friend from out of town that I took to a couple junior hockey games when he visted on 2 diferent occasions. They lost both games which is extremely rare. A 3rd friend blamed his presence for both losses, and I guess considered me an accomplice. So the next time he was in town we never told the 3rd friend he would be at the game until after they won.

I will not watch any game recorded. Only live. Once it's over, it's over. If I miss the game, I check the score and watch the highlights, and that's it.

Other than that, nothing.

Havent had much recently though i do start every game by pacing around my coffee table, but i think thats just excitement. However...

When the flyers made the playoffs by winning in a shootout 2 years ago I had my work shirt and jeans (moes southwest grille) on, plus my left work shoe, but not the right. I was an hour late to work that day, but that was my outfit for every playoff game until the bruins got up 3-0.

For hockey and for games during the work week, I will always wear a Flyers t-shirt under my oxford/polo work shirt.

On the weekends I will wear a jersey.

I flew a Bruins car flag outta my passenger window every game day last year... They went on to win the Cup. This thing is tattered and torn going through all the rain and snow... But I am still doing it this year, however it is not yielding good results yet. I may just retire it as an ode to the Cup and hang it on the wall or some shit, I dont think it will make it through another winter.
