Well these guys had to go through waivers to be sent to the minors. Zharkov is the only one I'd care about losing.

All signs point to at some point in the near future.

But yeah I was really only suprised by pelly and Fraser a bit.
Tao, zharkie, there just wasn't room.

However tg was sayin over twitter his guess is stralmans fate lies in if fraser is claimed on waivers

Not a big move,both fighting for the last spot/fill in but Stralman showed me nothing over the past few weeks

well the thinking by TG is, and it makes sense, is that fraser is claimed, they will then sign stralman, as they wouldn't have to move fraser to albany but still pay him NHL money as he would be on another team of course.
but if fraser clears waivers then stralman gets no deal. and fraser stays w the big club.

all speculation of course. but it does make sense.

That would be the but......Urbom has to much potential to hold him in the lineup and not play him

I'd rather see Urbom playing significant minutes in teh AHL than sitting in the press box which is where Stralman should be if he makes the team.

Not really. Living here in Pittsburgh, the outlook isn't so good for him playing anytime soon. I'd be surprised to see him before the calendar turns to 2012, but who knows. The press releases are more glowing than what my friends who work in the local sports media tell me the feeling is from inside organization. Like I said, who knows, but they aren't so optimistic about anything too soon.
