Hodgson is probably going to be the better pro but he's still recovering from his back injury suffered in the summer of 2009. If Cody doesn't get called up later this year he should be on the team next year. He's gotten off to a slow start in the AHL but from most accounts he's played well, just hasn't gotten the results.

Schroeder has had success in the AHL in his brief stint at the end of last year and already this year. It remains to be seen if he can translate that into NHL success but size doesn't seem to be as much an issue any more. If he can improve his defensive game he will be a good bet next year as well as Hodgson.
