Maybe, but I don't think Matthews, Nylander and Rielly were put on the ice to play D. Or even a neutral zone trap. By icing those guys to start OT, Babcock was saying "We play to win, we dont play to avoid losing".

I like it. Kid is still 18 and will learn to pick his spots a little better.

Pretty damn impressive! You know, I have a lot of Toronto friends, typically hated Leafs players by default, but now that the Pens have won the cup on Kessel's back I can't hate on them anymore. Let's see what Matthews, Nylander, Marner, etc... can do. Pretty incredible start.

Oh and I hope they keep losing games on weak goaltending... Fleury should be available in a few weeks

Man, it's gonna be a long 5 years if Andersen doesn't come around.

He just stared at her for a second and basically said, "uh, we'd rather win and the last goal against was my fault" all while giving her the "what the fuck" look.

Didn't really notice it on the broadcast what with my uncontrollable erection all game but what was with all the empty seats in Kanata? Some estimates put actual attendance at about 15,000, which is awful for a season opener (against the Leafs to boot).

Seems people in Ottawa are a little pissed at Melnyk these days but yeah. There is also some sentiment that fans are sick of all the shit that goes on when the Leafs and Habs are in town.

They are dash but it won't be done until 2023 or something like that. It's going to part of a much larger complex.

Somehow, he wasn't drafted in my department fantasy league. Apparently, Yahoo didn't list him on the draft or didn't rank him or something. I just assumed he was taken already when I would have taken him, so I didn't bother to look.

Then Eichel got hurt, and I needed a center, and there he was on the waiver wire.
