Hill gets the start

According to twitter, Jeremy Hill is getting the start of Bernard..... Hobs also had a report yesterday that made it sound like Hue was done with the running back by committee approach. I think it's clear that Hue likes big backs and I also think Bernard missed a big run or two on Sunday.

What will they do with Gio? 3rd down back going forward? Seems like a pretty big fall for a guy everyone celebrated last year.

I wonder if Gio has recovered fully from his injuries. He certainly has not been productive since returning and Hill had legitimately taken the starting job by his performance. I think Gio might do better as the change of pace guy, so I'm all in favor of the move. I just wish they had done it sooner.

I would like to see him get open in space, he has problems running between gaps (if the gaps are even there)

I agree with the change to Hill.

However, I think Gio should get tons of work still. He should get in on 60% of the offensive plays lined up with Hill in the backfield at times, pushed to WR, staying in to pass block, take screens in space, etc. I would also avoid running Gio up the gut more than twice a game. If he gets maybe 5 - 8 carries a game, 75% of those should be pitches and off tackle runs with pulling guards/TE's.

Just make sure that Hill gets the bulk of the carries.
