I would always look for a way to De-escalate or avoid a situation - a way out if you will. I frequent some eateries that encourage responsible people carrying. The sad thing is that absolutely criminal clowns always carry. I know a guy that work at the Omaha impound lot. He once told me that outside of accident tows, more cars came in with guns in them than not.
Usually well hidden weapons go unfound until they reached the impound lot. Sometimes guns were just under the front seat. Some cars are towed for no plates while parked, Many people in my old neighborhood would get a call that their car was on fire on some Omaha street. They wouldn't even know the car was gone.
