If you haven't already heard, I thought you'd be interested to know that Kirill Kabanov has been traded to the 2012 Memorial Cup hosting Shawinigan Cataractes.

The reason this might be of interest to you is because as hosts, Shawinigan is guaranteed a spot in the Memorial Cup.
It's been quite a year for Kabanov. He gets traded from Moncton to Lewiston mid-season last year. Then Lewiston folds in the off-season. He gets picked by Montreal in the dispersal draft. Then before he ever plays a game for Montreal the team relocates to Boisbriand, Quebec. And now he gets traded to Shawinigan. I would expect him to stay there for the remainder of the season.
