The world feels right again.

Now he just needs a 1.62ppg average over the last 62 games to break 100 and win the scoring title.

He was at a 1.61 ppg pace last season...

Yeah, I'm sure Mario sat him down and said:

"Listen...Sid...You know, I once missed a large portion of the season and won the scoring title. Oh, by the way, that was after I beat CANCER. Go do this."

Funny...At least he doesn't have to face Scott Stevens!

Also he will have so much bubble wrap around that head he won't feel a slap shot to the head. :)

I don't care what anyone says this date was marked on a Calendar. Islanders on the 21st at home. It's just too perfect.

I hope the Islanders call up EVERY GOON in their organization, AHL, ECHL EVERYONE. After all the Islanders WON'T win the game. The least BARF can do is make it interesting for Isles fans.

You can't be serious. There's been zero issue with the teams this season...basically what happened last season is done. They've played eachother twice, with no extremely lopsided results, and in good behavior. I doubt the Pens even dress MacIntyre, because there's just no room for him...and he's a waste of space on the bench when we need to be running 4 solid lines. And honestly, I thought the Dallas game was much more of a "scheduled" possibility. Sorry, I just disagree with what you're saying here. I understand not liking the guy, but calling up goons? In the first game a guy has back from a serious concussion? Sheesh, they're not freaking picking on the Isles. In fact, because of the history, you'd think Sid WOULDN'T play them for game 1. He's just ready now, when he wasn't quite at the end of last week.

I'm too lazy to take a pic and post it but Sid is on the tickets for tomorrow evening. So they must have planned this way back in September when they printed them up...:boink::heh:

In all honesty with the way the Islanders have been playing they need somebody to kick them in the ass & get them to play. They played well near the end of the season with Konopka, Haley & Gillies in the lineup. Having those guys in the lineup gave more room for Tavares & Grabner. Last night performance against Boston was a disgrace. I was embarrassed to be an Islanders fan. Losing is one thing, losing without a fight is another. Don't worry the only guy I know of who's been called up is F David Ullstrom. He's not a goon.

You can't tell me Sid & the Penguins weren't looking at the Calendar & saying maybe the 21st against the Islanders would be a good day to come back. After all the Isles are the 2nd worst team in the league.

I'm not saying that they didn't consider carefully what team he came back against, but regardless his time was going to be limited. What was told was that he was only cleared for return this morning though, but I do realize that part of the gamesmenship of it all is picking your battles...I know sometimes having those guys in the lineup will help the team out, but calling up a bunch of goons merely sends a terrible message and asks for another atrocity. And really there's a couple other games I could've seen him comeback for recently that are relatively 'easier' than others. We play St. Louis on Wednesday at home, Ottawa on Friday at home, that Dallas game, heck, the Florida game the other night. None of those are REALLY intensely physical. I'd say all those are less physical than the Isles game.

**What I'm trying to say is I don't think they'd chose the team he'd come back for based on records, but physicality, if they were pinpointing a game.

Did you see any of the highlights of the Isles vs Bruins game yesterday? The Islanders didn't push back one bit. Craig Button said Tim Thomas could have played the game sitting in a Rocking Chair.

The Islanders need to call up Gillies & Haley to light a fire in their bellies, not to injure anyone. It's not going to happen.

Capuano said Ullstrom & Okposo will be in the lineup tomorrow night. He hasn't decided who will be in goal. Yes Jack is actually considering giving Anders Nilsson is 1st career start in the NHL tomorrow.:L

Two sides to the goalie thing: 1) No-name, unproven type goalies FEAST on the Pens. Seriously. It's weird. We have issues with back-ups quite often. OR 2) You may be setting that kid up for some serious mental issues. The Crosby Comeback as your first game? That said, if he wins it...big mental boost.

EDIT: But if it were up to me I wouldn't do it...so...yeah. Is the only other option Rick?
