After the posts on the Randy Gregory failed toke test, it got me wondering just what other posters deemed to be a dealbreaker when it comes to getting talent on this team. Is one failed drug test too much or as is the case ith Gregory 3 enough to say pass? How about drunkenness public or otherwise? Too much clubbing? How about a weapons charge? Causing an accident on public roads/highways? How about life style or personal morality choices that are frowned upon in some circles? Gambling? Or is a player unwanted unless he's the consummate boy scout? You be the judge, let's see how much talent we're willing to do without because of............

I get your point, but as far as I am concerned I don't care what you do in your personal life as long as you are not hurting women or children. What I do care about is your availability on Sundays. Like I said, I'm not writing the kid off but we are not in the position to take a flyer on a guy who may or may not be available to play on Sundays due to personal decisions.

If it is true that he stopped smoking in December, yet still failed that means he was pretty much smoking everyday, months on end, for him to still test positive.

Dude could come in the league and destroy people. LT and Irvin were high on coke practically there whole career (allegedly) and they are two of the best to ever do it. I hate to speak for others but I think most on this board are deathly afraid of missing on this pick. So any red flag we get, we are on to the next.

Getting Samuels and Arrington while passing on Peter Warrick, taking Sean Taylor over Winslow, passing on Gabbert when we really needed a qb but knew he wasn't the one. This is one of those moments. We can't afford to f**k it up.

It all comes down to the belief if you think the guy is going to be a continuing problem and a potential flame out either via suspension or just burn out. IF you believe his transgressions are behind him, you take the risk. If his excuses ring hollow, you don't. At the end of the day, the best talent in the league can't help you if they aren't on the field due to off field transgressions. You'd be better off taking a lesser talent that will be available to you.

Its all about value. He has to drop on your board for this but there is still a point where hes just to talented to pass up.

sm has not drafted a player whom has used drugs in the 1st round . that is where the question needs to be directed
