and I didn't mean it in an "outstanding" way....
When did I claim you meant it an "outstanding" way?

Putting quotes around something I never said? Interesting...

The point I keep making is, you were slamming Dubrount, and every post you made could also have been applied to Nova...but...they didn't apply...because he was an "exception to the rule" AKA "exceptional"

i've notice all the blue jays bashers have had a lot less to say the past few days. normally we would have about 15 pages full of jays bashing.

So, you are shocked that we don't bash them when they win a couple of games?!!?!

"that comeback last night really sucked! they are awful to watch"

Here you go...even though they won 3 in a row, they are too far back behind too many teams to make a run at a playoff spot.

Let's see how he handles some adversity.

Let's see how he handles a slump.

Let's see what he does when he comes up against an umpire that has the balls to squeeze the strike zone on him the way all umpires are supposed to do (see unwritten rules of baseball) to rookies.

Let's see how he handles it when he has to pitch with some pain.

He's still an infant in terms of his major league career. We don't really know a damn thing about him yet.

Lets see how he does once he realizes he pitches for the Mets

All the great ones have started somewhere at some point

I think we are seeing the beginning of the next great one

Obviously we will wait and see

It's only been 109 innings. And as another guy said, only three friggin teams have seen him more than once.

There is a long, long list of guys who have blasted out of the gate to start their career, only to have reality catch up with them.

Heatwave, can you give Dirt the Scott Richmond lecture, please? He's a little star struck right now and needs some direction.

2 years ago..there was a pitcher that was being humped like Harvey now...he also pitched in a VERY friendly park...and didn't have a very long track record of success.

I wonder if the Yanks passed on trading for Felix when they got Pineida...If Dirt was running the team, it would've been highly possible. Well..except that Pineida didn't pitch in NYC prior to be trading, so it's probable Dirt never heard of him...

I agree it's way too soon to tell on Harvey, but he's certainly no Scott Richmond

people were predicting great things for Harvey before he ever stepped on a major league mound

Scott Richmond on the other hand had 1 person predicting big things for him, and that was based off of 3-4 starts

lol...so you are backtracking...and doing so in a typical rock fashion by re-defining a word used in everyday conversation...that's pathetic

and that's even ignoring the fact that the backtracking your doing is to even more lies...since the above never happened either

Huge misconception - if you want to know what the best jooish deli's are, the last people to know the answer are joos

Most of the famous ones are entirely patronized by the gentiles who are jealous of our way of life

Exactly $35 for a pastrami sandwich! Not gonna happen!

Remind us all again how jealous gentiles are when you have bacon on anything.

Bacon isn't really from a pig...and neither is sausage ~ every jew I ever met

Yup, then he tore his shoulder apart!

I do agree it's too early to put him on the best in the game conversation...but Dirt gets a pass from me.

No way. For real?

I do love a nice Pastrami sandwich, however. Gotta have a bit of yellow mustard and some thin sliced pickles on it.

Good points blade but i have seen all of Harvey's starts to date, #1 he has been squeezed in some starts and # 2 he has the Mets offense and bullpen backing him up, the guy is going to be ok..
