Just a couple observations:
1.) I felt bad for Herk, Conan kind of kept cutting him off and it just seemed like they didn't mesh well on the ebb and flow of the conversations.
2.) I was hoping that they were going to ask Herk about the speaches he gave and show his wild eyes.
3.) I wonder if Herk kind of had a hockey superstition thing with his beard. Last night he was sans beard.
4.) Overall I was happy I stayed up and watched. The Katy Perry thing was funny.....poor Vogey got dimed out, lol. At least Vogey has kids.

I was just going to say that if you hadn't seen it yet, don't bother. Coco talked over Herk the whole time. He was also only on for about 5 mins.

One thing that was kinda funny was when Herk made a weird running motion that Conan started making fun of. The prob was that that could have lead into some REALLY good back and forth if Conan had any clue who Herk was. Instead Conan just continued with his "look-at-me" antics.

Waste of time.

Yeah, it's probably just because I can't get enough things about "Giants" still. I want to see/hear/read everything I can about them, lol. Overall though, you're right, it wasn't really a good interview. Conan did talk over Herk and didn't really seem interested in letting him get a fair amount of talk time either.

Yup, there were a bunch of "could have beens" that would have made it a funny show. It's too bad too, because Herk has a lot of personality. If Conan had even made the slightest effort to understand who he was (crazy ass, wild eyed, mofo) and what he did during the playoffs (the speaches). He mentioned it before he walked out as a "human defibrulator", but didn't even go into what that meant during the talk. I know they were down in Los Angeles, but if you're not going to delve into what he did because it doesn't fit your market, why bother even having him on? Poor form on Conan's part for sure.

Herk=HP??? :noidea:

Yea.

Our own board name for him. Comes from Herky-Jerky.

If the airlines can find his bats (they lost them when he flew from Phi to SF after the trade), it will be a better nic.

I have been a fan of him since he was in Houston. He did ok in Philly but looked like he helped SF out more. I'm happy for him although many other Philly fans are a lil bitter about it.

I watched him in person at batting practice in Philly when he was still with the Astros and he was cranking em out and hitting em hard. Was fun to watch.

What are Philly fans bitter about? They got the heir apparent to Chooch for him. The giants did not get him cheap.
