With Derrick Henry projected to be drafted in the 2nd round, who was the last Heisman Trophy winning RB not to be selected in the 1st round of an NFL Draft.

Try not to use Google for the list.

I remember Mike Rozier coming from good old Camden, NJ way back, but he was taken in the supplemental draft - does that count ?? ... My recollection of Rozier is coming more from old NJ news when I was a kid than Heisman stuff, so there is probably someone more recent ..

Was Ron Dayne a 1st round pick ??

Only talking running backs
Troy smith was the last QB
Rosier was a good guess but he was drafted 1 round of supplemental draft
So still 1st round
Need to keep going back further
Ask yourself why did rosier go in the supplemental draft

Well, I can't figure it out without looking it up. Whoever it was was well before my time. Only reason I know the name Mike Rozier is because I happened to catch the Family Feud episode he was on.

Bo Jackson would be a good guess but the was selected #1 and rebuffed by Tampa Bay
The answer is one of the best if not best RB in college history. Ran for over 2400 yards during one season in the pros

Hershel Walker is the answer. Drafted in the 5th round by Dallas after playing in the USFL Yes you have to go back to early 80's

OJ was the first pick of the entire 1969 NFL draft.

Bo was also drafted in the 7th round of the following draft by the Raiders.
