The goalies seem to be very coveted in this league, i'm using my lady charm to get Jimmy Howard. Should I trade Anderson or Pavelec for him?

The other owner will probably want one of them included in the deal. It depends on how many goalies they have.

Look at the rosters of every team & try to pick a starting goalie from a team that has 3 goalies or more. If they have an extra goalie it could make it easier to make a trade.

Your goalies are okay. Both will get plenty of starts. An upgrade would be nice though.

How many goalies do you start in your league? It's always good to have one extra for when yours is getting a rest or his team isn't playing that day. Getting an upgrade is good, but if you can get a goalie from someone with extra goalies without giving one up, that would be better, assuming you don't open a hole elsewhere on your team.

Another option is making a trade for an upgrade, then picking up an unclaimed goalie from free agency so you still end up with an extra. He might not be great, but depending on what goalie stats are counted, it might benefit you to just have a guy in there every day. If there are no "counting" stats for goalies, though, I wouldn't worry about the extra.

Also with a 48 game schedule there will be plenty of 3 games in 4 nights for teams. Backups could be useful. Somebody like Jonathan Bernier from the Kings would be a nice waiver pickup. Tomas Vokoun from the Penguins wouldn't be bad either.

Every goalie was taken. Every single starting goalie and most back ups as well. 3rd Goalies are whats left in free agency.

We start 2 goalies, most people took goalies in the first and second round. Some people have 3-4 at least. No one is willing to part except for I should be able to snag Jimmy Howard for one of the others, I will not be able to end up with 3 who actually play. I can keep up with team news and see if there is a 3rd string goalie whos gonna get to play a game or two at least.

Howard is not a substantial upgrade on Anderson. Maybe do the Pavelec deal but I'd go for what Darkstone posted first.

Give up some depth at forward and/or D and get another goalie who will play 30 + games this year.

Skater depth is a lot easier to replenish via waivers than is goalie depth.

I read that Pavelec is going to be playing almost the entire season for the Jets. If Anderson starts well then I think he is going to be playing most of the season too. I can't see goalies racking up that many points that I would trade one of my only good scoring players since I am weak on that. The draft breakdown put me at 2nd last out of 16 teams because they claim my only scoring players are Stamkos and Lucic.

That's a deep league. You should be alright up front with the guys you have. I would keep tabs on some rookie and sophomore players who might have a hot start in the NHL. Those guys often fly under the radar in fantasy leagues. If you need help at forward, as has been stated, you can find someone on a hot streak in free agency most of the time.

Yeah, well everyonehas 26 players and there are 16 people in the league. Almost every one was scooped up. It will have to be a way under the radar for me to be able to pick them up. I just managed to swap out my ugly Tim Thomas pick for Yann Dannis lol... I read that he is going to be playing back up for Khabi. So that makes me feel a little better.

This league you are able to switch your starters everyday so I think as long as I keep up on it I should be okay! I hope.

Is Sifverberg available in F.A.? If so grab him. He'll be in the Sens top 6, maybe 1st line.

Here's a short list of rookies to consider.

Vladimir Tarasenko Blues
Mikhail Grigorenko Sabres
Jaden Schwartz Blues
Jonathan Huberdeau Panthers

I thought Hemsky was on a line with Nail and Sam Gagner. I've never been a big Zubrus fan myself.
