Not sure if you guys heard him on KNBR yesterday, but he let loose on Havlat. Basically said he's not sure how the other guys in the locker room can even look at him, and that he doesn't see how Havlat can be part of the team going forward.

Can't disagree. Coming from Hedi, who's normally pretty even-keeled, this must be obvious to most. Like to hear what JR has to say, although this is probably below his radar.

He blasted him in the game three post game as well.

All I can say is Hedican better know exactly what's wrong with Havlat if he's going to say things like this. If he doesn't know what's going on then he has no business commenting.

Logan had a few quotes about his come back and his injury, but the quotes just sound like hes taking shots at Havlat for not playing through his. I could be be wrong I guess and Logan doesnt do that stuff. I sense that everyone at least a little unhappy with Havlat right now.

Hedican must know the extent of the injury. He seems like a fair enough guy that won't just blast a guy for not playing injured without at least knowing what the injury is. Being a former player, he must know some injuries you suck up and play, some injuries you just have to sit out.

Hedican's comments, coupled with Logan's comments are pretty damning evidence that Havlat's injury is something that is a matter of pain tolerance.

:noidea: Not sure what to say about this? If he can play, then he should play. Playing in pain is always tough, but pain tolerance is different from player to player. I wonder if its a mental issue?

Like I said, Havlat is a good dude. But hes playing in a sport where people play through everything. Its tough as shit but its what hockey players do! Every year Patty and Joe play through injuries just like this one and they take all the blame when the team loses and you never here them bitch about it. Its crunch time in the playoffs and you cant play through an injury that everyone thinks you should be playing through, time to step up bud. But I guess in the long run this is just a game to Havlat and its not just a game for Logan and company.

I was thinking the same thing. I remember one time after a game, when the Sharks played really poorly, and Hedican said he was doing everything he could to bite his tongue. I can't see him going off without having some inside info on what's happening.
There is a difference between being injured and being hurt. If you are injured, I get that you can't play. But if you are just hurting?
I've supported Havlat ever since the trade. Have always liked him as a player, guy has a ton of talent. Having him in the lineup would make a huge difference....

I missed the Hedican thing but didn't he (or someone else?) say something like "that should be the last time we see Havlat in a Sharks uniform"?

If so, awesome! Can't wait until Havlat is someone else's problem.

Probably needs surgery so it's looking more and more like a dick move by hedican

Agreed. I think Hedican is going to come out of this looking pretty bad. My guess is Havlat tried to play with a small tear in his groin and made it worse and will probably require surgery.

Yeah thats my thought on this too, the guy felt the pressure knowing his team needed help when they lost Ralphie. So he risked injuring himself to the point of missing the rest of the season or something that could effect his overall career, to help his team.

I think Tmac's approach was perfect for this
