Hector Sanchez Promoted

To AAA Fresno. What does this mean? Maybe he could be a possible fill-in for Posey by August 1st if the Giants can't find a another player through trade. Whiteside aint gonna cut it the rest of the year if this team expects to make the playoffs, even in a weak division.

BTW, maybe we could use minor league thread?

This happened a few days ago.

I think this move is a bit of a reach, but I like it. The only catcher in Fresno was Williams, and Monell, in Richmond, has been shitting the bed. Sanchez has had a good year in SJ, but certainly not stellar. He certainly has earned a promotion to AA, but the promotion to AAA is purely circumstantial.

Hopefully he is able to put something together, and save the Gs from having to trade for a dime-a-dozen journeyman.
