Matt Holiday never touched the plate but we should have never been in the tie-breaking position to start with. The Sandman let us down that year and was the beginning of the end for him with the Padres. :bawling:

2012 NL wildcard game. Best fielding team in the league committed 3 errors leading to 3 runs, lose by 2. Too bad all of the attention when to the infield fly call and took away from another Braves choke job.

The NL race was pretty wild with Rocktober and the Phillies coming back from 7 down with 17 games to go to win the NL East.

3 games, each totally demoralizing. I cannot pick a leader among these...

1) 1993, game 162, SF @ LA. The Giants entered the game 103-58, but needed a win to force a one-game payoff with the Braves to win the NL West. The Giants sent uber-prospect Soloman Torres to the mound, and he proceeded to completely shit the bed. 103 wins, and we did not even make the playoffs. OMFG!!

2) Game 6 2002 World Series. Dusty and the ball-flip. When that game was lost, I think all Giants fans knew the Series was over.

3) May 25, 2011. That game physically hurt me. An entire, promising season, ended in late May, while trying to defend a title.

I'm still trying to recover from from being swept at home after taking the first two on the road.

Game 6 1999 NLCS, after coming back from 5 runs down and then sending it to extras it was a rough way to go.

Game 7 2006 NLCS, probably the best all around team I've seen the Mets have and they fell just short. Which is a shame because Endy Chavez had arguably the best postseason defensive play ever with his miraculous over the wall catch and then doubling the guy up with his throw to first. That play will be forgotten because it was in a losing effort.

I'm not going to mention 2003.

Game 1 of the '89 NLCS broke my heart. The rest of the series taught me what it was like to be a Cubs fan.
