so I was watching the ODU vs Pitt game, and I think there were at least 3 personal foul "head slap penalties" given out....wtf is a head slap penalty? i'd never heard of it before Saturday

Cuse got one thrown on them as well. The D lineman tries to block a pass, his hand slaps the QB;s helmet and they get a first down on a dropped 3rd down pass.

QB's are protected.

Sounds like football players should have some sort of protective gear on their heads to keep them safe from big bad head slaps.

The head slap is also illegal in the NFL. Deacon Jones used to use the head slap.

Eric Striker got called for it. It wasn't a helmet to helmet so people were confused on the personal foul, but the refs said his hands touched Case's facemask.
