I like your beard.
can't wait to see what happens when Niemi gets hurt in the reg. season and they're forced to leave Huet to rot in the minors.
Could SJ be going after Niemi?
I was really hoping they wouldn't match. Oh well, I wonder who Doug will target now? Not a ton left in free agency and I doubt he would try another offer sheet. If he is going to fill Blake's spot I think Seto or Clowe are boing to be shipped out.
Come on Sutter, bring Bolland (plan A) or Sharp (plan B) to Calgary...
If Chicago shed those guys it will only be to lower the payroll, and you fuckers can't take any salary either.
(thank you JBo)
Meh, Kotalik will be doing the Abbey shuffle and that will free up $3 million right there, tough guy
If it means saying goodbye to Glencross or Moss, so be it...
they can't make an RFA offer for him if that's what you are thinking (you can't make an offer on someone who has filed for arbitration)
Doubtful with Niittymaki in the fold and two promising youngsters. I think DWil was trying to take a chance to see if he could get a solid 3rd/4th defenseman knowing that Chicago is/was vulnerable. If he didn't succeed and the Hawks matched, then he further entrenched them in fiscal hell. I"m guessing he looked at it as a win/win.....either get the player they needed or if they match, burn their wallets.
SO if they waive Huet are they under or over the cap and by how much?
the only solution i can see is to waive/demote Huet, even if it is against Rocky's religion. that's $5.6 mill for the 8 players, which is ugly but doable.
.
I honestly don't think the Hawks no what they're doing. They're cap screwed and matching that offer? I can't wait to see what happens between now and the start of the season.
or you could have just read the thread.
Sorry.
no prob. just being a goof
Oh you goof you! :p
lol... they now have $14,000 to sign 8 more players.
any chance of Niemi's arbitration coming in at about fifteen hun per year?
Just between you and me, he hates you.
Shhhhhhhhh......
