Its rare for any team other than LSU and Bama in the SEC to beat a team OOC in the top 10. Yes Auburn did have the $180 man to help them that one year but they have not done much in the BCS era other than that.

the $180 man? lol... between auburn and ohio state, only one team went on probation due to actions from that season and it wasn't auburn.

as far as not much else in the BCS era... how about undefeated in 2004 and playing for another BCS title right now?

thank god ohio state played one top 20 team this year so we weren't stuck with the travesty of having ohio state play in the title game when they are nowhere near one of the two best or most accomplished teams in the country,

florida state is on my mind.

ohio state is in my rearview mirror. as they should have been for a couple of weeks, but some people think that teams that play an SEC schedule should be held to the same undefeated standard as playing a big 10 schedule.

Yes the $180k man. You are right only one conference chose to ignore their own rules and not punish. That says alot about the SEC chosing to ignore rules to a team can play in the NC game. Slime conf. heads to help out slime players.

if you want credit for a top 10 win in a bowl game, they should probably be top 5 or 6 before you play them.

or you better beat them earlier in the season and have them win their last several games.

So really you just proved my point. A team has no control for how or when their opponents are ranked.

Its all a matter of when you play them and what happens to other teams during each specific year. Teams that Ohio State has beat over the years have the exact same record as other teams that ended up in the top 10.

A top 12 team one year could actually be better than team that was ranked top 8 in another year.

So really the stat that you keep regurgitating like a psychopath is pretty meaningless.
