Literally the first quarter and a half they kept testing us up front.

When they realized it wasn't going to work, they just bounced their entire running game to the outside. We couldn't stop it, because we had nobody there.

Wisconsin couldn't run the ball straight at us.....our DL didn't get dominated.

They just ran around us. It was plain and simple as that.

Pelini couldn't get anybody out there to stop it.

Thats what LBs are for JJM or that is what your safeties are for ( if the ball gets to that level ). Also guys dont get outside if the DL isnt getting straight uup dominated. Stringing the edge is part of the DL's job and they didnt get it done. I mean you guys had 9 in the box for a shit tonm of the game and still couldnt get it done. Hell I picked Nebraska to win so its not like Im bad mouthing you guys. Wisky just 100% controlled the line of scrimmage and your LB and secondary didnt get it done any better than your DL did. Like I said Im not confident in Iowas ability to do any better

Trust me.

TRUST ME.

Iowa will do much better. Nebraska has highly talented players at every level on Defense. They just aren't coached properly.

Western Illinois held Gordon to 38 yards rushing.

Im sorry bud but Wisky had 230 yards rushing with 9 minutes to go in the second quarter and had 90 after the first quarter. It was a whooping. I was cheering for you guys though. LOL

Losing close games in heart wrenching fashion is generally on the coaches and decisions they made or didnt make. Getting blasted and giving up 500 yards rushing because guys dont tackle, cant get off blocks or get pancaked every other play is on the players. Coaches dont lose blowouts. Players do. Coaches lose close games.

it's call adjustment...

wisky was stone cold first qtr. they realize Nebraska was loading the box. wisky simply started stretching to the outside. now Neb having to worry about outside runs as well as counters and iso . once neb started thinking and not attacking it was a wrap. neb didn't adjust Gordon did all that work in about 2 qtr

So you're telling me that every other team that has played Wisconsin thus far has recruited better on Defense than Nebraska?

Thee fucking University if Nebraska........where 3-stars would rather walk-on than take a full-ride scholly to Iowa.....

Yea.....okay....

When your players don't perform in big games, on a consistent basis, they are not being adequately prepared to perform by YOU. We lost by 35 (good thing Wisky was careless with the ball for the 1st 20 mins or it had be worse) to a team that we are more talented than. That is how bad the coaching is in Lincoln.

Of course not BUT you got setroyed this game. Doesnt mean it happens all the time or that Wisky does it all the time. Players just didnt play. Theyre kids. It happens.

Coaches don't just scheme. Coaches prepare players, they rep fundamentals and they prepare players for games.

This is not happening at Nebraska and we can not year after year just keep saying the players didn't execute without looking at who is supposed to prepare them to execute.

Listen guys. All Im saying is it not all Pelinis fault you got beat by 35 points and gave up 500 yards rushing. Some onus HAS to go on the players, probably most of it. If you want to blame the coach for stratic errors that cost your team a game then go for it. By the 10th game of the year the coach shouldnt be babysitting fundamentals or schemes. The players are supposed to know that. Its still just football.

NO I'll disagree. Bo has been here long enough that if it was the players fault surely at some point this type of game by now would have been overcome. When the coaches use the same gameplan (for most of the whole game, the players are not at fault. Coaches are far enough away from the actions to make adjustments. Unfortunately, if you look in a dictionary under Pelini, the word adjustment isn't in his vocabulary.

I don't know. We have seen players come and players go and we see the same thing. I don't even think it's a fundamental thing because we see good play inconsistently.
What is consistent is we fold when we get hit in the mouth. I think this is the most frustrating thing to me, the team that once stood toe to toe and exchanged punches until they either dominated their will on opponents or congratulated the victor and walked off the field with heads held high now folds at the slightest resistance. The first indication of a fight and they completely melt.

Is that the players? Yes it is a player mentality but where is it coming from? There's been players come and players go though so how can it always be on the players?

Starting in 2011, yes.......it does happen all the time. We Husker fans have pretty good memories.

We don't have a history of getting blown the fuck out here, so we take it pretty close to heart when it happens.

Here is a list of triple score losses we've dealt with in past few seasons. These are just the blowout losses. Again, this SHOULD NOT happen at Nebraska.

2011
#7 Wisconsin - 48
#8 Nebraska - 17

#20 Michigan - 45
#17 Nebraska - 17

#10 South Carolina - 30
#21 Nebraska - 13

2012
#12 Ohio State - 63
#21 Nebraska - 38

Wisconsin (unranked) - 70
#14 Nebraska - 31

2013
#16 UCLA - 41
#23 Nebraska - 21

Iowa (unranked) - 38
Nebraska - 17

2014
#22 Wisconsin - 59
#11 Nebraska - 24

If I'm counting that right, that's 8 blowout losses in the past 4 seasons.

This SHOULD NOT HAPPEN AT NEBRASKA.

And yet, for some reason, it does now.

I have no problem with you, rmilia.......even though you did just call me "bud"......which is basically the same as saying "little tyke"......

But there is NO defending Bo Pelini and his staff after this shit. This is the same shit, over and over and over again. He's had plenty of time to figure shit out. I've seen Penn State in recent years put walk-on white boys all over out there and figure out a way to play Football.

No fucking excuses anymore. If Bo ever becomes successful, I'll be the first to thank and congratulate him. Right now, though, he continues to fail in epic fashion.

Also, here is the absolute dagger to your horrible argument.

In 2012, Nebraska beat Wisconsin...........and then turned around in the same season and lost 70-31 in the Championship Game........with THE SAME PLAYERS.

It had nothing to do with the players. It was the preparation. It was the game plan. It was the adjustments that weren't made during the game. It was the coaching. Period.

I just saw this on Facebook, so I had to look it up. If you have a minute, watch this LSU game from 2007 when Bo was DC. Some scary similarities.

I was just thinking it last night.

Here's the easiest way I can explain why Bo Pelini should be fired. As a Husker fan, I no longer care if we win or lose games, I just don't want to be embarassed in the games we do lose. That is not a mentality a fan should have. Thus it's time for Bo to go.
