Now I feel bad for criticizing him. This may be the reason for his erratic coaching this season.

I sure hope he's OK because I don't want to lose him. But even from the start I saw a little of that "Dick Vermiel, I'll coach till I make myself sick" mentality about him. I'm not entirely surprised he's having heart issues.

This is surprising. He's only 48, and he's a former NFL quarterback. I'm sure he works out more often than most people. Or maybe he stopped when he got into coaching. Hope it's nothing serious.

Harbaugh is an extremely intense guy. I hope this doesn't make him lose that intensity.

As if the players needed any more motivation for Monday Night. I know that Defense in particular is going to be nasty on MNF. This should help give them that extra pump.

On a side note, my Dad had an irregular heart beat. He went in for surgery about a year and a half ago and had to take it easy for a couple of weeks. Any surgery is dangerous, but this one in particular is pretty common from what i understand. He's actually healthier and more up beat now then he was before. It's hard to imagine Harbaugh being even more up beat then he already is.

I'm just speculating from the little info in the article, but I agree with Sick. He probably had something like and ablation for an arrhythmia, most of the risk is during the procedure. I'd bet he's back to full speed pretty quickly.

The way he has acted sometimes kind of led me to believe he was on coke or some medicine lol.

But now this explains a lot. Hope he gets better! Love this guy!

No news as of yet, but the procedure was damn near an out-patient procedure so I would be shocked if he wasn't fine - They expect him back @ 4949 by Friday. Fingers crossed.
