Hope everyone had a great weekend. I was traveling back from the PNW (JBLM area) after doing some house hunting there for the past week. I planned the trip to coincide with kids spring break so they could also come along to see their grand parents and other family. What I didn't account for was it also falling on Easter weekend. I learned that Easter Saturday/Sunday is not the best time of year to negotiate on a house. The offer I put in on Saturday was more or less ignored for 24+ hours due to sellers being at church or otherwise consumed by their Easter plans. And in that time, another buyer appeared on the scene and it now appears a deal that was really close to being done (we were $5k apart on Saturday) is falling apart. Ah well.... first world problems I guess! The good news is we are still moving back home this June, and I'll be retiring from the Army before I have to move again so it's all good. Something will present itself and things will be groovy.
