Matt Johnson out with stress fracture:smash:

Like his talent but i'm tired of keeping guys who can't stay on the field.....I know its not his fault but maybe that opens the 53 man roster to keeping some young stud who can stay healthy. Would like to see green or Lawrence make this team. :frusty::frusty::frusty::frusty::frusty::frusty::frusty:

Including all the penalties. 3 offside penalties along with the usual. Looks like discipline is still a problem that usually costs us 3 or 4 games every year.

I thought the same thing until I realized the starters didn't play. That made me fill somewhat better.

Agree on Lawrence. And Will Allen looks like decent insurance. But I still say give me Swearinger over Escobar in the 2nd and this draft looks great

I wouldn't put too much stock in what we saw in this game. I include the good with the bad. It was the 1st PRESEASON game. No starters for Dallas. Did we look that good because it's who we are,or did Miami play that bad. I'll wait for the 4th game (preseason week 3) before I grade the team.

And I agree with you. We always talked a lot about how bad the O-line played on the ESPN site. All the penalties and bad play by Free, etc., But it seems to me watching the Cowboys defense lately and the past few years, we see, it seems a 1/3 of their defensive penalties come on third down in the form of too many offsides, personal fouls, interference when we have the drive stopped or hve them about ready to punt. I would just like to cut back many of those stupid penalties. Stops and extra opportunities for the offense is a good thing.

Frederick and Leary did very well. It was strange to see the running backs have holes to run through. Thought the Cowboys played very with the only exception being pass coverage. I kind of think Taylor Reed looked good

Leary should be the starting LG this year now if they can just find a RG and Free continues to play well we might have something

Too early to tell but its a start at least

I wonder if Waters is still an option. From the article in the DMN, it sounded like the club would prefer Waters if the money was right. Even at his age, he'd be a huge help

Way to early to tell, but I think we're going to be better than most think on both lines

Big if. I think as a team our starters are actually better at most positions than the majority of teams. The problem is it gets thin after that in a lot of spots. We're an injury or 2 to the o-line away from fielding an arena football line. That $5 million cap penalty hurts us. That's 2 quality players right there.
