Shaduer Sanders? Do the Browns take a swing at him with pick #33, or do you think they like Jalen Milroe better?

What the hell happened to Luther Burden III? I saw several mocks with him being drafted top 10. He fell all the way down into the second round?

I would not be opposed to trading up in the second round to nab Emmanwori. He can be a difference maker on the back end. Those would be two very athletically gifted players the Bengals took in rounds 1 and 2 then.

Will Johnson fell out of the 1st round as well. He has to be pretty high on boards right now. 1 CB selected in the first round, and 1 S.

Other thoughts?

Not a fan of trading up at all, and not just related to Emmanwori. Only have 6 picks as it is, and with so many holes to fill, and how deep this class is at DT/DL/IOL - need your picks.

Rule #1 of the NFL draft: Don't fall in love with any 1 player. If you get fixated on that, you will overspend and reach for that guy. Bengals have done a fair amount of that already in the all too recent past.

I think it is fair to become fixated if the juice is worth the squeeze...and Emmanwori is one juicy MF.

Use our 2nd this year, and 2nd next year, and grab a difference maker without losing our 3rd this year. I have my 1000 Watt Ninja Blender ready to make smoothies for everyone.

If he was that juicy - he would have went 1st round.
.
He may yet turn out to be a really good, great, safety...but I'm not trading up for him.

I would be thrilled if Cleveland took Milroe - I've never seen anything in his game that makes me think he'll be a good pro. I'm worried about them getting Sanders. I think too many people got worried about him for the wrong reasons. If he lasted until the second round because he seems "arrogant," this is silly - We have one of the most self-confident (or arrogant if you really want to think about it) quarterbacks around and it goes pretty darn well. If its truly a skill thing, I get it.... But I don't sense that is what is going on.

He lasted until the 2nd round because, quite honestly, most people don't feel that he's that good. He's got a medium arm, and 70% of his passes came within 3 yards of the LOS. The bulk of his passing yards came on WR yards after the catch. If you subtract the amount of broken plays/scrambles that he had - the times that he dropped back 3+ steps and had to actually read/process a defense is borderline 15% of his passes. There really isn't any area of his game that you could consider "elite".

Then you consider that 1 season was against woeful competition at the HBCU level, and then his first year in P4 play was not good. Second year was better, but the B12 as a whole does not do "defense", and overall had down years. They were on the right side of several bounces that allowed them to escape with wins, or Colorado was looking at 6 wins again, and Sanders likely doesn't quite have the same shine on him.

There is also concern about his ability to handle a locker-room because he's never played without Daddy coaching. The first time he steps into an NFL locker-room it will be the first time he's ever stepped into one where his Dad wasn't in charge. He also has a bad habit of blaming others for losses, bad games, and general issues. This isn't new.

I pray for Cleveland or Pitt to take him - that's 2 games a year that he'll be forced to play an NFL defense (which I don't think he's ready for) and have to keep up with Burrow on offense...
