When people say that their team got outplayed, it means that they were outperformed or outsmarted by someone in a competitive setting. It implies that the person or team did not perform at their best or were unable to match the skill or strategy of their opponent.

No year is an "assessment year" if you're a player! They all count, and if my organization fails to do everything it can to maximize the win/success rate and you want me to give maximum effort, "What we have here... is a failure to communicate!"

Btw; you have a strange definition of "gutting the future," when the goal is to acquire young talent. A playoff win tells you where you are, what's necessary for improvement, and inspiration for the next season. Telling your guys that they are in an assessment year is bad, BAD, BUSINESS!
no young talent was available

gm's assess or they are out of jobs

i said from the beginning this team didnt have enough talent to compete with contenders . gutting the future is simply blowing future draft picks for immediate gratification . if you make the trades advocated and fll short of the superbowl how do you add to the team and fill holes without resources ?

we need to have patience or else this FO and ownership will fail

people in hell want ice water but assessment is a needed action to move forward and develop a plan. giving up draft resources for players ( or their equals) you can get next year is bad business UNLESS you are making the leap for a superbowl . not to win a stinking playoff game

you coach THIS team up . you put the ONUS on the players on this years team to make the right moves.

build a foundation of core guys not a team of stop gaps

you are the worst football fan here; the internet was made for your opinions.
:burt:
Dallas beat us without multiple starters the Eagles game wasn't even close what happens if the Giants find a QB this offseason the NFL is a year to year thing and everyone has the draft and free agency just like us

assessment year the idea of gutting the future for a playoff win is bad business . this team has alot of holes that a lattimore and/or a higgins cant fix . our o/line didnt play well , maybe its exposed . ?

sorry loss for sure but now its on to the titans
The idea of wasting years of a player's career isn't all that good for business either.

No one with the possible exception of you has claimed Higgins n Lattimore would've fixed every hole on the team. They would've went a considerable way though in strengthening the WR n CB units of the team. Two units in need of considerable strengthening.

Exactly whose careers are we wasting ? The guys on the team now ? The ones that are being given the opportunity to sieze destiny now ? The guy who moves on while being replaced?
