"I'll be sharp and they know that I'll be ready to go." - Also said that taking reps in practice will help get him ready to go for the opener.

"Unless it's a necessity, I don't think I'll play in the preseason. Unless Coach says so"

"The goal is longevity in the league," Griffin said. "... I think you can win outside the pocket. You just have to be smart about it."

"I don't think the preseason matters that much. YOu talk to a lot of the vets, and i don't think they even like the preseason."

Will not be in 11 on 11 drills for the time being. 7 on 7 until he's eased in to full speed.

"Current plan is patience is the key. I did all I could in the offseason, working out, rehabbing. I passed all my tests."

On wearing a brace, it looks like that will be for the entire season.

So the big pull aways from this:

1- Will be participating in everything with the team with the exception of 11 on 11 drills for now
2- Will be wearing a brace this entire season
3- Schefter looks like he's right, that RG3 won't be playing in any preseason games.

Im totally fine with that. Worse that can happen with that particular brace would be a thigh or shine bruise. But the way that thing is built, the knee almost cant get bent out of shape.

Hopefully. When he slipped on the painted dirt at FedEx against the Seahawks, that Brace didn't seem to do much good.

i am happy with what i heard . he appears to be 100% and the team is taking it slow for now

if RG3 thinks he can be ready for week one without preseason snaps then so be it . he knows his body

so lets see what KC can do

if he's wearing a brace this season then his mobility will be limited which is probably a good thing for his knee.

Im ok with the knee brace as well....I know he is getting a new...different brace.......And if it cuts his speed down some...so be it.....he will still be faster then most of the guys on the field anyway
