This is total bullshit! Geno isnt the only tough and physical player on our defense.... Thompson lifts the same as Atkins and plays tough, Harrison, Pacman, Burfict and Iloka get real physical not to mention Dunlap and Johnson.... Atkins on IR doesnt make our defense soft in the least bit...Now do we give up more run yards and less pass rush that has yet to be seen...But people are acting like we are about to roll out the 92 - 98 or the 01 - 08 defenses....... Not happening....

I agree with you on all that.

However, I think the mental makeup of everyone on the front 7 changes with Geno out versus him in the game. Geno is the spark plug and the engine that drives this train. Guys will still be tough and physical, but everyone will have to work much much harder without Geno who demands double and triple protection at times.

Brandon Thompson wont have Atkins quick first step but his power and hole plugging will be close enough and all we need.....Johnson and Dunlap need to go to work....Also brandon's gonna get some sacks...Gilberry will be in on 3rd and long as well as Harrison...at DE and moving Dunlap inside...Also Hunt will get some opportunities...
