I remember that streak well. Funny thing about it, that particular Lakers team was considered to be "over the hill" and looking at an early playoff exit at best. Instead, they put together a winning streak that is unlikely to be matched and won a championship.

yep. string was broken by the Bucks that season. lived that one too. man, that was a tough game against the Pistons on the next one after all the air was let out on that streak. Lakers did manage a win, though...

We could all keep living in the past, or we could pay some respect to DJ Augustine, Jodie Meeks and the Stones 7 gamer.

Huh? How's bout it?

What the hell is Jodie Meeks doing that deserves something besides being peed on?

Running the three man weave with Jonas Jerebko and Anthony Tolliver.

Eating lunch with Josh Harrelson.

Picking up Spencer Dinwiddie at the bus station.

Taking off balance jumpers. Basically.... everything.

He's having a good season so far in Detroit after being one of the few bright spots on the Lakers last season.

That's fine, but the comment doesn't belong in this thread which is about the greatest winning streak in the NBA. He needs to quit trolling Lakers fans.

Love the way Jodie Meeks plays, he gives 100% every night. Wayne Ellington has transitioned into Jodie's spot nicely though, wouldn't have wanted to pay the price that the Pistons paid for him.

See now that's a great response to Meeks being mentioned. Me either. But hey, Smith is making tons to suck for Houston and after Ben Gordon and Charlie V, I can't complain about Meeks money. I do like his effort.

I was mocking my Stones current streak in comparison, for what it's worth. Kinda why I mentioned reserves and DLeague call ups.

33 is absolutely ridiculous and could stand the rest of my lifetime.

Yeah, no way the Lakers were going pay him that money. Good for Jodie getting it.

Yeah, Meeks was definitely one that the Lakers wanted to keep, but the Pistons were willing to pay a good bit more than the Lakers. Good for him that he got that money and good for the Pistons that he's producing.

The great streak is not a silly amount of regular season games. The great streak has Mr Russell front and center.
