I still say the 1984 Detroit Tigers ... no Hall of Famers and never out of 1st place. 1981 Los Angeles Dodgers are the only other World Series winning team without a Hall of Famer on the squad. No great players must mean these were two great teams. I am from Detroit, so I send my vote to the Tigers.
