I thought this story deserved its own thread . .

Most of us probably thought Latimer would be a great addition when we drafted him . . While it has taken a little longer than we expected, I think by season's end we will be able to say that he has arrived .

Great story

Cody Latimer of Broncos inspires Children's Hospital patient, pays tribute with TD celebration

That was a great story, man. Thanks for posting that. There are so many things I could say about that story, but I think they are the same things that everyone else will feel. Good stuff.

I think Larimer likely was a poor fit in the Manning offense. He looks more comfortable in Kubiak's offense.

Love these stories. These players have such an opportunity to impact this world for good. So many of these kids look up to them and a half hour of their time will mean a lifetime of memories for many of these kids. I wish these were more the national stories that the sports world would focus on instead of the Greg Hardy or Johnny Football stories. I know these type of stories with Latimer don't bring in the viewers like that of Johnny Football but these are the types that especially our younger generation need to hear. I work with high schoolers on a regular basis through sports and I hate that these kids idolize guys like Johnny Football. They think it is awesome that he was out partying during the Bye Week. While I don't see a huge deal with a player wanting to go out and party some I do think somebody who is a recovering alcoholic like Johnny Football is not exactly setting himself up for success in life or football with making decisions like he did.
