I thought after that less than inspiring game Thursday that we could use some good news. 4 wins in a row puts us in the SB, 5 wins and we're the Champs. Here's to controlling your own destiny especially with the Texans and Rahduhs remaining on the schedule. After watching all the AFC division leaders yesterday and the rest of the AFC as a whole (with the exception of the Colts who played a JV team) I like our chances. Especially at home.

I read some negative things about our offense after just one bad game. Let's look at our offense for the season. 535 points; let me repeat 535 points with two games left. To give you an idea how good that is, no other AFC team has 400 points! Only one NFC team has 400, that's the Bears at 406. Could you imagine how many more points we would have if we were just average in fumbles lost? Yes the D needs to pick it up but I like where we're at.

Yes, the Broncos aren't a perfect team but neither is any other team out there. Go Broncos!!!!! :suds:

Great post. This is the time of year when optimism is contagious.

And after last week, focusing on the positive, what is working and going right, helps feed that energy and enthusiasm that the team seemed to lack last week.

I agree 100% that the Broncos have as good a shot to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl as any other team in the AFC. Maybe even more with home field advantage hopefully. Every team in the AFC that will most likely make the playoffs has flaws. Patriots defense and no Gronk. The Chiefs defense has gotten worse. The Colts havent been the same since Reggie Wayne went down. The Ravens havent ran the ball well at all this year. The Bengals are so up and down. It will be a fun playoffs to watch in the AFC.

The Broncos defense has issues. The Patriots, Bengals, Colts, and Dolphins simply do not dominate on either side of the ball. The Chiefs have suddenly learned how to score but are not playing good defense anymore.

The Ravens and Chargers are not out of the picture, but like many teams that are in the playoff picture these teams simply do not dominate on either side of the ball.

I would not rule out any one of these teams putting together a run in the playoffs. There is not a dominating defense among them, so that is almost a non-issue going into the playoffs. There are some solid defenses, but none are dominant. There are some solid offenses (Patriots, Chargers, Chiefs) but there is only one truly dominant offense is the Broncos.

I'm not ready to write the Broncos a Super Bowl ticket. Far from it, really. The playoffs are so unpredictable. But I feel very confident this Broncos team is not going to get bounced so easily as they were last season. If the Broncos learned from that loss to the Chargers, then a lot can be learned about a home upset. And a home upset to a lessor team is better now than in the playoffs.

After the way this season has played out for all teams I am considering nothing a given. I hope the broncos are going into Houston with the thought that the texans are a legitimate team.

No one should be looking past the coming week's game. Texans and then Raiders and then wildcard round and then divisional and then conference and then SB. Not SB now.

I tend to HATE Thursday Night Football games....and not just because we lost last week. The quality of football on Thursday nights does not seem to be up to the usual NFL quality. Anyway, the reason I am pointing that out is this........we are the only Super Bowl "favorite/contender" that got an extra 3 days off going into the last two weeks of the season. It is almost like an extra bye week. I hope they are using the extra time to get healthy and kick around ideas to make the D a little more creative.

That being said, like HOF said.....I like our chances.

Go Broncos!

Cali, good point about the extra 3 days of prep time for these last 2 weeks. The team can use that extra time to get healthy and to refocus after the loss to the Chargers. Then, after Week 17, they will get another week off. This is a welcome scenario for a team with health issues.

The Broncos have some definite concerns right now, but they are in great position to get things right at the right time.

Go Broncos!!

I agree that the team can't look ahead and should treat every team as a legit threat. As fans though, we have the luxury of being optimistic about the remaining schedule as none of us will have a thing to do with the outcome.
