That was a good article. Funny how the players sit in the locker room cracking up while Sutter gives his postgame interviews.
My favorite story about Sutter was when he forgot to bring a belt on a road trip so he had to borrow one from Mike Richards. Turns out the belt was worth $500 and Sutter's whole suit was worth $350.
Must be nice to be an athlete, right?
I remember watching a Cribs type show on NHL players and Mike Richards' place in Hermosa was shown. Dude drives an Escalade (don't like them) but I thought it was funny since I drive a Suburban that seats 8 and have room for 2 left and the back is completely full of kids stuff and work - my work bin with marketing materials, strollers, a pop up for the park, even a portapotty for those wonderful road trips where I have to pull over every 30 minutes so one of the younger ones can take a crap in the middle of nowhere. I literally have no room for a large grocery store trip back there. And it's always fun finding a 3 day old sippy with god knows what inside hiding under one of the second or third row seats.
Meanwhile, Rick probably has 6 empty seats and storage 90% of the time...
