Great article about Doc Emrick

The worst voice in sports media is the dude calling the Sabres games. His "Gooooooooaalll!" scream is the most annoying thing I have ever heard. I would rather listen to that "Friday" song on repeat for an eternity than have to listen to him non stop.

Exactly, and he hasn't changed the way he approaches a broadcast at all since then. They're just awful up there together. Errey's a decent color guy, but he'd only be GOOD if he had a good PxP guy. Like Lange...

In the first thirty seconds of the last game, Emerick had a player "ladeling" the puck and before the first minute was over, another player was "knifing" the puck. I also heard that a goalie "waffled" the puck. Get out of the kitchen Doc and back to the rink.

doc is nice to listen to once in a while but he gets tiresome after a while with all his nonsensical words

I love Doc, hes was great calling the Devils game this year since his goal call is the same no matter if it was the Devs or the other team that scored. His back up does the same thing, its what happens when you learn from greatness I guess

lol...I'm repping this post because it made me laugh...In my opinion, the only thing missing was telling Doc to get "forking" back to the rink.

Doc does use the same stuff. At the beginning of a period:
"And there are no carry over penalties and or powerplays" Never fails.
But he's good about being unbiased.

I like Doc, but he gets a little out of control sometimes. I thought Ken Daniels would do real well on Versus, but he's a little bland. (Maybe out of his comfort zone?)
