For the defense, lets start off with Ezekiel Ansah. I think he's one of the more interesting players as far as how fans will grade him. Does anyone think he has already reached his full potential?

Use the grading scale I've provided below and from there, I will get the average score for each player after a day or two.

Rank 1-10 with 10 being the highest. Include percentages (.1.2.3.4.5) if you believe player is between certain levels.

1- Bad player. Should not be on a NFL roster.
2- Tackling dummy or jock carrier.
3- Nothing more than a practice squad player.
4- Low level backup player.
5- Quality backup or role player with no starting potential.*
6- Starter but easily upgradeable.
7- Mid level starter, with potential as a high level starter.
8- High level starter, with All-Pro potential.
9- Consistent All-Pro player.
10- Potential Hall of Fame player.

Ansah was one of the best 4-3 DEs in the league this year. I think he graded out top 5 when all was said and done. Would have liked to see more sacks, but he got a ton of pressure and was good against the run as well.

Future star.

Rare God given talent. Should become one of the best in the league starting next year especially if Suh stays. He also gets extra credit for proving all the experts wrong who joked about him being a project just learning how to play football.

7 with the potential to be a 9 in 2 years. Today, though, there are 10 better DEs in football.

So if he's the 11th best DE you're ranking him as a flat "average starter?". You're bringing our average down here, Max... bringin' it down I tell ya!

Ansah is really good against the run. Way better than Avril or KVB were.

I said 10 better. There are another half-dozen or so playing at the same level as Ansah right now (hopefully, in 2 years not so much). That's a solid starter, but not a star, for me.

I think he's a high-level starter, but not yet a star. What's next, you going to try to tell me Van Noy isn't a 7.5 then?!

Are you just going to take a straight combined average of everyone's scores? Perhaps toss out the highest and lowest single scores for each player to weed out the haters and us kool-aiders a bit?

I think he was about an 8 this year and will be a 9+ in a year or 2. Does everything well except use his hands more. Friekish talent and upside.

Hard to rate a first and second year player this way.

It would be interesting to see how he stacks up vs all ends drafted over the past 2 years. I know he led all rookie ends in sacks year 1.

He really was a steal at 5 considering the struggles of the 4 guys who went in front of him.

TP, unfortunately I dont have a very large amount of responses. I think I have enough to put out a solid grade on a guy though. I wont factor in rankings that dont make much sense though.

It is a little difficult to grade the young guys Old Lion but thats why its good to add whether a player is trending up or down.

KVB was pretty pretty solid against the run. That's if the RB took the handoff and immediately started running left.

I got Ziggy in the high 7's.... 8's, being a high level starter is a fringe pro bowl player which Ziggy isn't at until he starts bring his sacks into the double digits.
