I wouldn't start Dumervil against Peyton.

The next three have pretty good matchups. If it was the 2012 Bears, I'd be all over whoever is playing them, but this is 2013, and the Bears O-line might be better, so...

I'd sit Harrison in the Windy City.

Real toss up between Hali and Woodley. On one hand, Gabbert doesn't know how to read a defense, so he might be sacked a handful of times. On the other hand, Locker is erratic, but can probably scramble away from trouble better than Gabbert.

So I would start Hali.

I don't know Treff, Peyton isn't sacked very often, bad blood or good blood.

TKO brings up some valid points but if "emotion" is a factor, I'd have to side with Treff on this. Can't just look at sacks either. Dumerville I'm sure will be psyched to have a few stuffs, tackles for no gain, and maybe a batted ball.

Sox it's 2 points for tackles 1 point for assisted tackles and the whopper 5 points for sacks.

TKO I see where you are coming from thus the reason for this post. My thinking before hearing some of your guy's feedback was along that of Treff's mind set and now it seems Joe's too. I think Treff said it best. It's a feeling! With both Treff and Joe on board and I all ready leaning that way I am full speed ahead with Dummerville. TKO thanks for trying to be the voice of reason. Treff and Joe thanks for the push I needed to invest whole heartedly in the passion element. Wish me luck, and thanks good gents, good luck to you all tonight as well in all your leagues.

Just one more point: TKO is right, Peyton is great at reading defenses. But this is game 1. The best footage that may be available is either footage from last season, or game 3 of the preseason (both of which may be meaningless). Think the Ravens have 8 new starters on D. This may be the game to mess with Manning's reads.

Another point in Elvis' favor is Peyton adjusting to a new center. I know it's not monumental, but anything like that can screw with a new QB.

That said, I'd go with Harrison. Their LB depth is low so he's gonna be out there a lot, and I could see him racking up tackles there.

Well Foot, I tried to warn ya... Joe, I don't think it's about Peyton's film study when it comes to reading an active defense, live, and getting it to the open man.

Hey Foot, don't feel bad, I dropped Julius Thomas on Wednesday to pick up E.J. Manuel! Sometimes I do terrible things at terrible times for which I really have no justification.

?? 9 pts for Dumm's under that scoring. . sure not great, but nothing to laugh at.

In the IDP league I'm in, Dumerville only scored 3.5 points. He had his chances - heck the Ravens D was on the field most of the game!

I'm not apologizing for favoring Dumerville. Looked like a favorable matchup. And we still don't know how the other matchups will fair yet.
