isn't NBC the moron here? They paid Goodell a king's ransom to televise the game. Seems like that makes him a genius. If NBC then wants to piss all that money away with a fraction of the viewership that they would have received, then that's a business decision that they'll have to live with.

I've somehow been living without football for a few years now. I got sick of the focus, mostly by the clownouncers, on bullshit like kneeling, ignoring the game instead of ignoring the politics.

Now, Goodell has upped the ante again. I don’t plan on returning to regular football watching, but this absolute shit of putting playoff games on pay-per-view drives me further away.

Fuck you, Goodell. Every decision you make sucks.

Was it free locally?

I thought it was Peacock exclusive?

Yes it was televised on local markets.

Just think about when your local team plays on ESPN but the game is carried by your ABC affiliate. Same thing happened locally in KC and Miami.

Hmm, OK, I thought it was not on local NBC channels though? Only pay through Peacock.

No it was on the local channels just like normal. But you have to be considered the "home market". I know that Kansas in particular has a lot of area that is not considered the home television market for Kansas City. I am sure there were a handful of ticked off KC fans in middle and western Kansas.

This was the last paragraph in that article.

Anyway, as Walt Goldeski, another of Goodell’s taken-for-a-sap readers wrote, “The Lions play the Bucs indoors in Detroit at 3 p.m., Sunday. The Bills play the Chiefs outdoors in Buffalo at 6:30 p.m., Sunday. Does that make any sense

Uh, the Lions play indoors in a Dome and the Bill's play outdoors.

I think the outdoor teams still have an edge over the Dome teams in playoffs. A lot of Dome teams just freeze up when they play outside in the north in the winter. It's called home field advantage.

Of all the games this weekend, KC-Miami should have been the most anticipated, but it was the least-watched game by about 10 million viewers.

And Goodell wants us to try living without football? Fuck you, Roger. I'm doing fine without it. Listen to the fans.

Average viewership was up about 3million per game for wildcard weekend over last year.

I think the NFL knows what they’re doing over a bunch of old people that won’t spend $6.
