Benintendi is really surprising, I don't think his defense is very good.

Robbie Grossman is up for a Gold Glove? I saw him 2 years ago try to throw a guy out at home, two hop the throw and hit the runner in the back 10 feet before he slid into home.

He was always a decent, work the count type of hitter. But I never saw him as a good or even average defender.

There is absolutely no reason Roberto Perez shouldn't win a gold glove. No reason, if he doesn't there is something seriously wrong.

Led the majors in defensive runs saved with 29 for ALL players. 2nd highest for catchers was only 11.

ZERO passed balls in 993 innings is mind-blowing.

Matt Chapman is the best defensive 3B in baseball IMO, but I'm surprised Gio Urshela is not nominated. That dude can pick it.

fwiw, DRS and UZR rate him as below average. on the other hand, Inside Edge Fielding does have him with the 3rd best rate in MLB on unlikely plays (10-40% chance) behind Arenado and Chapman. He's 0% on remote plays while Arenaod and Chapman are 1-2. so...
