I said the same thing and emailed my teacher back. He replied to everyone that they will drop a whole letter grade if they do not attend.

I hate Nazi teachers. Anything outside scheduled class time should never be necessary...And I bet most schools have a rule supporting that.


I had a professor (whom I loved as a teacher, just not his policies) that would make us do several outside the classroom activities on our own time and not during scheduled class periods. Things like go to a criminal court hearing and alos seeing a documentary that is only played in 1 part of the city and very limited times. We also had to PAY for these events which of course is not included in our $40,0000+/year tuition.

If we didn't go our grades dropped significantly. A rant like this and I forget to mention I voluntarily took 3 of his classes
