I heard most of this presser. I gotta say, i'm coming around. Scot really seems to have his shit together and a plan in place to sign our own that we want to keep next year (or maybe some this year). i also like that there are outs after year 2 in the event Norman doesn't live up to billing. He is expensive, no doubt. He is going to ding the cap next year to the tune of $20M. This deal also sets the bar for a couple others who become FAs in the next 2 years. Guys like Cousins, Breeland, Reed, Baker, and Gilette will all expect to be paid at or near the top of their position list if they have another good year. We also have our 2 WRs that becomes FAs next year. There is no way we can keep them both. Maybe neither of them. I'm becoming convinced that WR will be a target for Scot early in the draft, maybe even our first pick if a stud is still on the board.

I have my reservations but given that we got a lot better and that we have plenty of cap space it seems, I am pretty happy. But, I am not looking forward to those Giants games everyone keeps talking about. Better Norman than who we had before but I think Odell is gonna dominate that matchup.

Who all is a FA next year? Obviously Kirk. Then Reed, Gallette, Desean, and Garcon. Is Baker too? Anybody else? And Breeland has 2 years left, correct?

Just trying to do the quick math, because I dont see how we keep all that even with 40 mil in cap room for next year unless Kirk falls apart which means we have bigger problems.

Odell is going to be a hard match up for ANY cornerback. Having Josh and Bree will help.

Getting to Eli is going to be the bigger key to winning, as always.
