Giroux Only All-Star? . . . Good!

Last all star game in any sport I remember giving a crap about was when Fred Lynn hit a grand slam in 1983.

Happy that everyone besides 28 gets some extra rest. The Olympics nearly killed us last year. A little down time during a long season won't hurt.

i'm happy about that because i hate the all star game and its much needed rest...but what a slap in the face to the best team in the nhl. thats so hard to believe. im so happy for giroux, as he deserves it, but we've been the cream of the crop of the east, and most experts agree, yet we only have ONE all star? yet the blackhawks have like five and might miss the playoffs? and i love claude, but i think for pure "star" purposes, briere is having a better season...and is far more proven.

i'm not surprised they only have 1.. woulda thought it would be briere.. but with the balance they have, nobody is putting up gaudy all-star numbers that are required for an all-star game.. the all-star game is for guys that suck up all a team's money and tries to carry a team on his/her(cindy) back..

the pens can have all teh fun they want with their 5 all-stars, because after those 5 players, they have 0 players worthy of an NHL contract.. same goes for the hawks and caps

Giroux definately deserves the nod coming from a devils fan hes the player that makes me the most nervous when hes on the ice.Kid deserves more credit hes amazing

Surprising yes but who cares the only thing the Flyers want is the cup and this gives them a much needed break....let the pens wear themselves down. Too bad their ballot stuffing fans aren't smart enough to know this...haha! Besides I'd pay to see MAF get shelled and possibly injured in a meaningless allstar game. : )
