He kind of got lost on the depth chart in kc behind Charles. He could take the giants aback field easily. If anything he could be the thunder to David Wilson's lightning. He might take a week or two to work into the giants backfield, but I think he can beat Jacobs out for the starting spot. I think he could be a fantasy asset. The door is wide open. I'm picking him up early.

Interesting. I wouldn't call David Wilson lightning...maybe an "empty lighter spark", but not lightning. Myself, I think Andre Brown will be the back to own. He should be back in Week 10.

I highly doubt Hillis does much of anything. Coughlin trusts Jacobs and he's done a decent enough job to keep his role. This is wk 7, bye un 9, and both Wilson and Brown expected back in wk 10. I'd honestly be surprised if Hillis is still on the team come week10-11, let alone have a rolesignificant enough to justify a spot on a fantasy roster.

I disagree... Jacobs is too old to keep this up... Hillis, as long as he is anywhere as good as he once was(that one season in cleveland), he could be great for the giants... especially in the redzone... he was the strongest RB in football...

Not sure what you mean here - Treff is saying this:

Week 7
Jacobs starts (not enough time for Hillis to learn the system)

Week 8
if Jacobs "couldn't keep it up" in week 7, Hillis might get his chance - but would you start him in fantasy?

Week 9
bye

Week 10
Wilson and Andre are back, Jacobs is cut back to a handful of carries, and Hillis will be a warm body on the bench if he's still with the team, even if he somehow got 100 yards and two TDs Week 8

Well that's the thing. . if he was anything similar to what he once was that one year in Cleveland, he probably wouldn't have ended up in KC.. he surely wouldn't have gotten cut from KC, and he would definitely not have gotten cut in TB. And he probably would've been signed before week 7 this year.

Just don't think he's anything near "that guy" any longer.

I'd say both Hillis and Jacobs are a no go for fantasy. Jacobs might have a decent showing left, but even during the game last week, they had to take him out and put his quad or hammy in a compression wrap to prevent him from straining anything.

Not a good sign for RB that has endured the physical punishment he put his body through when he was a starting/committee back earlier in his career. Even in college, he just ran right over the top of or straight through defenders. Fun to watch, but he only lasted a little bit longer than Marion Barber, who ran with the exact same style.

I don't think Brown can stay on the field long enough when he comes back to push Jacobs or Hillis to the bench. Brown at times looked great but the poor guy falls into the McFadden, Harvin, Murrey, Amendola "could be great if he could stay healthy" category. I think if you have the room on your bench why not pick up Hillis and see what happens. It's not like there is a lot of options out there so when one pops up to pick him up and put him on your bench to see if he works out is not that big of a risk.

I actually think Hillis could be in the place to do something. Brown - injured all the time, Wilson - Not the guy, Jacobs - old. If there is a better place to end up for a "still young, still has some more millage left in the tank" RB I am not sure I know which team it is.

Some one may have said that. . sure wasn't me ! ;)
But there is a huge difference... both McGahee and Jacobs came in with little to no competition for touches. .a little, not much. Hillis is going into a situation where the guy is not already entrenched, but that guy also goes back with the head coach and offensive system for years.
And Hillis might be younger, but he's ran like a 30 year old for a couple years now. I really see no "edge" that Hillis has to take the job away

Dude broke his leg, other than that (and I may be wrong) I didn't think he was hurt. To me, Jacobs looked damn good last week. True, the Bears D line is gutted but he didn't look like a fatass like he has in some seasons past. He just looked big and pissed...............I honestly don't see Hillis doing much.

Dont get me wrong I LIKE Jacobs and have always. As for Brown unless I am really losing it as I get older I remember him hurting himself at the end of last season last year too. In his short rise to fame he seems to always be injured.

Well wouldn't ya just know it. . after all this. ..
Hillis gets his shot tonight. .No one expected Jacobs not to play tonight.
I still don't see much from Hillis.. but he'd make a decent desperation play for anyone who was previously playing Jacobs out of desperation.

Haha! I picked him up this week and the guy I am playing started Jacobs, so he has no chance now.
