Dallas is off next week and the Giants will be facing the Packers without Rodgers in Giants stadium so that should be a win which means 2 weeks from now it will be the 4-6 Giants against the 5-5 Boys for 2nd (maybe 1st place) in the NFC East.

What a shitty division lol

Lets be honest here, it's always an interesting division, regardless how shitty. Kills me how much people like to bash on the NFCeast. Dont get it at all. Whatever.

People bash it because every freaking offseason the media hypes up the division and act like it is a top division so when the division turns out to be a shitty division where 8 or 9 wins can win the division, of course we all laugh

It is definitely interesting, for sure. I think the reason most of us fans outside the division bust their balls is because for years, we've been beaten aver the head with how great the division is. It's nice to be able to gloat a little at their expense for a change. Especially teams like Dallas who the talking heads dub "America's Team". That, I've never understood.

I get that people tire of the coverage and the east coast bias. It is what it is, given the size of the markets. But i also think your avatar says it all.

I can totally understand this. I would feel this way too if I was in another division. Truth is, it won't stop, until another division earns more SBs.

Thanks for agreeing that the division is always interesting. Homerism aside, I really believe it to be true.

The "America's Team" label was courtesy of NFL films back in the 70s. They noticed Cowboys fans traveled well, hence the moniker. Dallas wisely embraced it in the name of capitalism, and the name stuck. When it's stated these days, it has more to do with an old, familiar label than it does reporters or analysts honestly thinking of the Cowboys as the professional football team America loves most, granted their games tend to do the best in regards to ratings.

What I don't fully comprehend is the perception some people seem to have by stating that Dallas is loaded with talent. The Cowboys top 5-10 players aren't too bad, but the drop off in depth is a big reason they haven't been very good. When they lose a good player, it tends to leave a big hole. I think that's been painfully obvious on defense, where injuries have plagued them, and guys off the street are desperately trying to keep up.
