So who's this Josh Harding guy? He stops multiple breakaways makes 72 saves while only giving up 1 goal to the mighty Red Wings. What does he know that just about everyone else doesn't? He's still the Wild backup right?

He's got one of the quickest gloves in the league - at least he did when I used to follow the Wild.

bah what a disappointing game. i thought the wings were going to dominate after watching that first 10 minutes and then the penalties started to come and it threw them off their rhythm. and i am sick of harding having allstar caliber games against us

Can anyone remember the last time the Red Wings lost 5 straight games? I have no idea.

Not sure but they had a real rough stretch a few years back, 2008 I think, where just about every defenseman on the team was injured. They very well may have lost 5 in a row then. IIRC Setoguchi's goal off the mesh occurred during that stretch for Detroit.

They've been good for so long. It's hard to remember any bad stretches in recent years.

Yeah it's weird. Slump and Detroit are two words you definitely don't hear together very often. They'll get things turned around quickly though I'm sure. There's too much talent on that team for them to not get things fixed.

Congratulations Wild perhaps it's not the decline of the Red Wings.
But as I said at the beginning of the year this team will contend this year.
Good luck the rest of this season to the Red Wings.

Not going to lie, I thought the Wild were going to struggle all season and end up 9-12th in the conference again. They are off to a pretty nice start. Hopefully for you guys they have more than college hockey to root for in the spring this year.
