3) Not being Sanchez

I have a working theory that the Giants pitchers' are coached to stay to the corners more even when they fall behind. Obviously that only goes far in explaining Sanchez who's just consistently wild anyway. But today it looked like he was actually throwing the ball where he wanted to (more than usual anyway) but just would not challenge, ever.

Again, just a hypothesis, but it might help explain the Giant's success in avoiding the home run ball (if any of you have read Cameron's stuff on Fangraphs).

I don't mind it. Although, I'd like to see a bunt to move a runner from second to third with zero outs, and a squeeze occasionally.

Well, the numbers say it's generally bad to give up an out to do that. But super late in a close game like this, for 1 run, it might be a good idea. And if the batter is scuffling, even more so.

But again, I have to refer to the math: Bochy rings = 1. Mine = 0.
